If there’s a total waste of time it’s the fact that pets collect iron during the hours they’re finding things. I forget which pet it is that finds iron but, why? I mean, from very early on in the game you can unlock the perk that keeps the iron depot topped up so that particular item is always voided when you collect all items found by pets which seems a waste of time to me. Also, you can easily find iron anyway so how about changing iron for something else that the pet could collect instead?
