I understand many people have been playing the game a while, and probably don't see the opportunity within the flea market, or understand its impact on the game.

I had a recent conversation with a staff member who says that it is widely used and that orange juice is one of the most popular items on it. Additinally they said that the majoriry of people who play the game is not represented in chat. One person in help chat said there should be a disclaimer especially for the juice department saying that it is basically a scam. The only conclusion I can see there is that there may be 20,000 people who buy 1 orange juice a day. Even then, I wonder where they acquire gold, and how many transactions are actually happening on the flea market (the data won't be released).

Presently I belive the overwhelming opinion is that the flea market is a scam, with most people having to waste their time in help chat saying to avoid it. Personally I belive this is bad game design, as something within a game should benefit people. Sure you might need an extra item for a quest here and there which is great, but having permanent items at 1000x inflated cost gives the game a bad look, especially to new players. The concept of the original flea market was to sell secondhand goods. These juices should be removed entirely so gold can be spent more effectively throughout the game.

That leads me to my first of two suggestions. What if the flea market rotated useful items at a slight discount on an hourly basis? That way resources could be ac-blam!-ulated faster, and people can spend more time doing more enjoyable things in the game. Items such as mug of beer, wax candle, etc. Even though they might not hit hourly, maybe they hit 3 or 4 times a day.

My second suggestion is, what if all voided items went into the flea market and once an hour you could click on a flea and it would give you a bag of goodies equal to your inventory cap from the voided items? Not only will this help new players, but also keep players checking in regularly. If there are not enough voided items then you get a bag of raw materials such as straw, stone, etc to reward you for playing actively.

- As a very active player for 2+ years I only have used the Flea Market to buy maybe 10 things & have also wondered why it is set up as it is. Would love to see the ideas you mentioned for sure, great suggestion.

While it would be impractical from a programming standpoint to migrate voided items to the market, I would also appreciate a restructuring of the Flea Market. Gold is too hard to come by as a newer player to justify spending on anything that isn't a quest demand.
