Currently, items for Special Requests can only be submitted once the player has collected every requested item in the required quantities.

A helpful quality-of-life update would be to allow players to submit requested items incrementally. For example, if a request requires 10 of an item and I currently have 4, I could give those 4 to the townsfolk and return with the remaining 6 later. The request could then display the progress as 4/10.

This would prevent quest items from being accidentally used in crafting or cooking, sold, traded, or otherwise removed from the player’s inventory while they work toward completing the full request.

There have been several times when I accidentally used a required material in another recipe and had to collect or craft it again. I have also accidentally sold rare items, such as fish, before realizing they were needed for an active request.

Being able to turn in items as they are collected would make Special Requests less frustrating while preserving the work required to complete them. Players would still need to obtain every requested item, but they would not need to keep everything safely stored in their inventory until the entire request is ready.

Suggested feature: Allow players to give any available quantity of a requested item until the required amount has been reached.
