While you are fishing and exploring (Im not sure how much this applies to cooking) you are forced to use your most powerful item to explore or catch fish. Sometimes I want to save the stronger items if im running low and use the weaker items. Being able to choose which item you want to use like how you can change your bait in fishing.

It will most probably only affect early players, and storehouse would be a saviour until using 1 AP or LN won't make the inventory overflowing.
