Sorry if something has already been suggested along this line, i tried reading everything but may have missed some!
If possible in some way it would be helpful if on your farm page when choosing the crop to plant you could choose to set the sort order by grow time not alphabetical (i have to keep checking grow times in the shop screen to check which time order they are in). Plus if there were some way of seeing how much of a grown crop is in your inventory. Saves nipping in and out of the farm/inventory screens to check which crops I'll be using my grape juices on without accidentally growing too many and voiding

You can open crop information screen by clicking details button (i) near your farm name at the top to see how many of each crop you have. There you can also sort crops by growing time.
Not exactly what you are suggesting but can be useful.
